Everybody PLEASE make note the BEST marathon I have ever run # 15 count. Chris U was so helpful caring and informative for this marathon.
Very organized. The city where we ran the Boston qualifier was awesome. The course, the citizens in Amhestburg Canada . The citizens are so very kind caring n the feeling of HOME. They are literal living with open doors in this city. I have traveled both nationally & internationally and no where more warmth have I ever felt. Thanks to the entire city for treating like a celeberty more famous Jackie Joiner ! PLEASE put this MARATHON on your list of places to visit. ONLY "one" complaint I had not any phone service in Canada thats not their. The scenery overthetop beatiful easy course !! Yvonne
Great run!! Great supporters!! Great cause!!
This small-town marathon was fantastic. The volunteers were enthusiastic and great and the organization was really good. I would definitely recommend this race to anyone.
Great Course, well organized, flat and fast. Shirt selection and design has been weak at best.
I ran the half marathon last year. This year I am doing the 10K.What a great locale.Close to my home town of Windsor for a second edition, the race went well. This run has had so much buzz that it is sold out( except a few spots in the 5k on the Saturday) The shirts are the most beautiful I have ever received. And the medals are a piece of art.
I ran the half marathon in Amherstberg this year and was thrilled with the beauty of the course! There were a few glitches being a fairly new race--the race shirts were late arriving; both the 5 km race on the Saturday and the 1/2 and full marathon were late starting (there were still people in the bathroom line!). The food line at the end of the race was ridiculously long. All said though the scenic course and the volunteers in early Canadiana dress were really impressive. It was a very relaxed run and people were very friendly. We stayed at the nearby Windsor Casino hotel for a reduced rate but I have to say there weren't a lot of fellow runners there from what I could see!
This race will soon gain a great reputation as THE best Boston Qualifier in Southern Ontario. (With easy access for Eastern Michigan and Ohio too!)
Can't say enough good things about the course...Flat...Flat...Flat...Very scenic... Great pacers...Crowd support for a good part of it...Outstanding volunteers!!!... Well organized expo and start/finish line...Fantastic shirt & medal (the best ever!)
Oh and I almost forgot...I BQ'd !!!
This was my first 1/2 marathon. I thought that the race was super well run and a beautiful course. Excellent Execllent Excellent !!!
Beautiful scenic course! Well organized! Best shirt and medal ever!
I ran the 5K last year, it was a great flat course, even won a pair of shoes! This year I am very much looking forward to running the half-marathon through the beautiful town of Amherstburg to support this great cause.
I ran the 10k last year and it was a great race, definitely fast and flat as described. Can't wait to run the half marathon this year!
I ran the half last year (and this year too), and it was definitely flat and the scenery was nice. Very well organized, especially with the parking!
Awesome race! Can't wait until this years event. Fast course, good competition and gorgeous scenery. Can't beat it!
I ran the 5K race here last year. The event was ran so good. Everything was thought of, Lots of parking, easy to get through and a great run location. This year I will be running the 1/2. Chris U and the rest of the organizers really know what they are doing and it's supports an awesome cause. I would highly recommend this race to anyone.e
Run or walk for a great cause. You'll love this event in the safest town in Canada :)
This was a very well organized run. With the beginning and ending both at a brand new arena, it was very convenient for both parking and facilities. The course was very flat and refreshing to run through as you run through a very picturesque and historic town. The stretch that runs along the water is beautiful! Can't wait to be at the start again this year, September 23!!
A small town race with a big feel. The race director thought of EVERYTHING that a runner could possibly need. Good support and scenic. I really like the focus on the charity partner, the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County. A great race for a fantastic cause!
Great family event! Topped my PB by 15minutes !
Nice flat course, beautiful scenery, great entertainment.
I was very impressed with this race in 2011. It was organized just as well if not better than races with longstanding histories.
The course was just as flat as advertised, and the run along the water was refreshing and beautiful.
The biggest standout with this race is the passion of its director and leadership team. They care as much about the nonprofit it serves as the runners who race it. It has the potential to be a very popular race, but with the location and leadership, it will ALWAYS feel like a great small town race.
I ran the half in 2011 and am doing so again in 2012. Can't wait!
A great race. Last year a lot of PB's as the course is quite flat. I did last year the half marathon and I'm signed this year as well.
Great event for the whole family! Amherstburg is a beautiful town and this event highlights some of its best features, including the fact that it's flat!!
I did the 10k last year ... beautiful course. well organized! very friendly faces. If i didnt have an injury, i would have done the 1/2.
Such a beautiful race. Very flat through Fort Malden. Fast course too. Highly reccommended.
Great scenic course. Well organized with great medals & shirts. Looking forward to this upcoming run!
