This was my first marathon (but not my first race) and one of the best experiences of my life! The spectator support is overwhelming ~ I can't say enough about how wonderful those who cheer and offer support (and snacks!) from the sidelines are. The race itself is an awesome experience. The volunteers are incredibly cheerful and positive, helpful and encouraging. The race was well organized and the course itself was lovely. I would not hesitate to recommend this race to fellow distance runners, and I hope to return soon!

Hey VCM,

Great race again this year. Our 2nd year coming up with a group of runners and successfully completing the marathon with all our runners. It is a very well organized race with great fans and a pretty course.

Burlington is a great city and makes you feel so welcome as a runner and those drums on the hill are the best. Thanks again, looking forward to next year!

I love this race, it rivals Boston for it's vibe and crowd support. It's really well organized, and a hidden gem.

Hello Peter Kim,

I just wanted to thank you and the whole crew at Vermont City Marathon & Relay !

This is the second year our band, Longford Row, has played on the corner of Pine and Main Street (Ski Rack) for the Vermont City Marathon. We are so proud of being a part of this event.
It is really an opportunity to play music in one of the most unique, and appreciative environments you could ever ask for, and in doing so support a large community event.

The folks at the “Ski Rack” and “Run Vermont” were really helpful and made the set up and preparation really easy.

Collectively we love the event because of the genuine appreciation of the runners, supporters, and other volunteers. It is truly a humbling experience to witness the effort on the race course by all involved.

We look forward to next year ! Thank you for having us, and we wish you all the best
