I thought the Race was amazing! You could feel the good vibes all around. There was so many great teams there to support each other in fitness and in fun! Loved the pizza and salad, oh and of course the beer. It was great to see people on the sidelines cheering you on and high fiving! My team was very supportive as I haven't done a 5k in a while and they were there screaming my name as I crossed the finish line. We all had so much fun thanks to Good Times Running and their amazing team! Thank you!

Great event. My only complaint was lack of enough singage for washroom, food,.. Also the annuncment sound was pretty weak.

Nice event, few small issues. Many of the announcements were very hard to hear. Line ups for post race food were crazy, and not worth it for cold soggy pizza pizza. Also a shame more people didn't hang around for the band but that's not the organisers.
On the plus side well marked course, lots of on course volunteers, great race bag. Will be back next year.

This event was great fun, and a tremendous team-building experience for my colleagues and I, in support of some very important charities. We look forward to fielding a team again next year!

Great experience running with my team and entire company, really makes me proud to work for such a great organization. The rain was unfortunate but running around Ontario Place was fun!

Good Times Running (The same crew that puts on the Monster Dash in October) sure know how to throw a successful race. I can see this event becoming huge over the next 5 years.

Ontario Place is the perfect venue for this picturesque 5k run. The scenery is gorgeous, the route is fast and fun and the time it so that the sun is setting over the course right as you come up to finishing your second lap.

Other notable pros:

The food! Free ice cream, Pizza, pasta, granola bars, sandwiches and a beer. After so many races where you get a banana and a moldy bagel at the end of the race, this was a treat.

Mini Ping-Pong before and after the race. There was about a dozen tables set up for before and after the race. What a great idea!

I really like how the course loops twice. My fastest times to date have been on looping courses. I find that I can set and tweak my pace on the first lap so that I know exactly what to expect on the second. I know if I should be speeding up or slowing down, and how much gas I have left in the tank.

The venue location was a great idea. There are about a million and one ways to get to Ontario place. There was no stress for getting here for a nice evening run.

I liked that it was on a weekday and not a weekend. I didn't have to plan my weekend around doing a run. It was a lot easier to organize time during the week.

I'll be trying to put a TRCA team together for this next year. Such a fantastic run.

Loved the race and running through abandon Ontario Place.
I want to thank my nextrace.com for allowing me to join their team as this was my first every team event and enjoyed it very much. It's too bad that we came first but couldn't claim the plaque...you should put me on your payroll :P lol joking

The course was a double loop 2.5k with some stairs and a small hill and finished by the western point of Ontario place overlooking the lake while the sun was setting so beautiful and the weather is sunny and not too cold :)

The post race food included pizza, chips and bars and the dranks were nice tasty Steam Whistle beer.....

Only thing I didn't like was the late start because we were waiting for people...I have never had a race like that before...lol

Next year I will run again...maybe I will bring a team :)

This was my first time running in a team event and I loved it! A great event where you're given the chance to spend some time with people you already know and meet several new faces.

The course went by nice and quick since it was 2 laps of 2.5k and the stretch just before the finish on the most Western point of Ontario Place was a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario and the setting sun. The weather was nice and crisp but as soon as you warmed up it was a great night for a run.

The post-race pizza, beer, and snacks were delicious and I couldn't get enough! :)

Hopefully I'll be back again next year, thank you for bringing the race back!

It's so beautiful running through an historic, memory-laden place like Ontario Place.
Crisp but comfortable running weather, great organization, and lively camaraderie all made this a race to remember.

It was my first relay race ever. Lot’s of fun!
It was an amazing experience, it was a nice race and it was very funny to run on team.
However, if I would suggest something to the organization for next year is would be to indicate where is the finish line and to give more directions indications.
I might be there next year, why not ?

Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend.

This event was really organized and a lot of fun. Even though I participated the running event for the first time, I really could have a good time. When I was running the course, many people encouraged me a lot.
I recommend that you join this event next year.

I volunteered last year (2012) and ran this year (2013) from both angles this is a great event, with a solid mix of ability. From those using it as tempo training to the walking corporate/charity crowd, this event has something to offer for everyone. (even children!)

I take issue with a lot of the complaints posted about this event. It would seem much of the negativity comes from slower participants, perhaps walkers, who, under this format can literally feel left in the dust of those with more ambitious time goals. I can understand how this is frustrating, no doubt. I also think there is a bit of an unwritten code to racing and some less experienced runners may be frustrated because the are unaware of such "code"...

As a volunteer, I was in the relay exchange zone and I can tell you the confusion and congestion is caused purely by the participants. Like all races, please listen to the volunteer staff and back up. The transition zone becomes congested when teams inch forward and suddenly bottle neck the course. As a runner, I ran on a 2 woman team (ab,cd [we won]) and viewed transition zone much the same. If you are not running don't stand in the way.

I don't run this event to be competitive, I run it to put in a good effort on hot pavement and have fun with my friends and teammates. I run this event because it sponsors a charity that plays a vital roll in our communities.

I have run this race on a team many, many times. It has great potential, I know alot of friends who won't come back to this race because of many reasons. Such as runners and walkers in the way, this year it was a 2.8km loop or something weird. It used to be a 2.5km loop you did twice, which made sense. BUT, the current format takes too long, tough luck to the first or last runner who have to wait hours for the team to finish.

Post race event with beer is good, race kits negligible.

The race was very interactive and a lot of fun.
It was great training towards a specific goal with a team. It was an amazing way to get to know your members and coworkers!

And running on an Indy course was definitely a plus!!

I am definitely doing it again next year!

Fantastic. Fun.

Where else can you run on an Indy course? A well organized, great event for an amazing cause.

See you next year, calendar permitting.

The race was fun, and it was fast. To me the most important thing is how you feel after the race, and I was happy.

The drinks, snacks, and especially the mister at the end were appreciated. 2.9km is not that far, but it is hot when the pavement is 38 degrees.

I would have loved for the washrooms to be closer, for individual as well as team timing, and markers on the track. I know a lot of people who could have run faster if they new they only had a km left.

It was a fun race overall.

Great experience racing in a team; unfortunately, too long event with few people cheering for the last runners, boring course and post-event!

This event was a fun way to get colleagues’ out to do something active together. The course was very boring, nothing to look at and not many spectators cheering throughout the course. Because the start and finish line were far from the post race event it was hard to find friends after the race.
