An awesome event in the most beautiful of surroundings!
Was very moved by the words of Meredith posted along the route. Very nice. Very inspirational!
As with all races organized by Kelly Arnott - everything was great and very professionally done.
And just as an aside - fabulous Finisher's Medal!
Thank you!

This race is for a good cause, that is nice and I like that.
As this is a runners forum I will bring attention to the quality of the run, which is important to attract runners.
This is a cross country course - Organizers you need to post this.
Condition of course for athletes is poor, with much of the season ahead we would not have risked injury knowing the condition of this course.
Trail cannot accommodate overlap of 5k/10k and walkers massive backlogs on course and with a high percentage of amateurs on course few stay to the right to accommodate traffic.
No km markers on course, words of inspiration are cute but km markers are required.
Volunteers at turns need to be informed to provide direction to runners before the last seconds. We had to call out every corner to get direction. One corner the volunteer sent us down a public road as she was swatting flies away from her face in that direction. Along with km markers add an arrow eliminates human error.
The fluff:
Swag bags were good, great job getting sponsors for a small event.
Shirts....really? Possibly make one a man could wear or save your money.
Free and ample parking..very nice.
washroom situation...a bit of a nightmare, need porto's.

Great event - only two years in - WOW great job everyone. This run should be on everyones list of runs to do!! Yes I agree the hill at 6K was a surprise, but I liked the challenge. Post race food was the best - very organized. See you next year.

I did the 10k of this run (2012). Really well organized and a fun course, although after a fairly flat course I was NOT expecting that incredibly steep hill at 6k! Ouch! Now I know what to expect for next year.

The course is on trails, mostly fairly wide. There are some spots where you have to watch your footing but mostly it's pretty easy. The last couple of kms were over grass, which was a bit challenging especially after the big hill. Great post race food and entertainment. Impressive swag bag for a smaller event, too. I will definitely run this again!

Only suggestion to the organizers would be to have a couple of porta potties on hand at the start to relieve the line up for the ladies bathroom!
