I thought the race was well organized with plenty to eat and drink. There was a police presence and volunteers to guide and offer water. I did the 5K walk and was anxious that there might be no one at the finish line because I am not a fast walker. I was lucky as there were people at the end to cheer me on and it made me feel good but may be those after me were no so fortunate.

Thanks for coming out. We did have the course well marked there was 500hamburgs and hotdogs that we ended up telling everyone to eat more there were bananas apples juice 800 bottles of water muscle milk and another sports drink. We has ordered 300 medals and 340 showed up some of our repeat customer runners offered to give them to the St. Catharines running room first time runners. We ended up giving away. 75 hamburgs 400 water and 300 juice. Sorry you didn't find this race to be as fantastic as we heard from so many. We try to offer just as much for a 5 k as some half marathons. Please call me to explain your situation 9055122488. Thanks Kelly

I was there to cheer on a friend, the BBQ that had burgers and hot dogs was right at the finish line, water, juice boxes, two different protein drink companies, bananas and a massage, all for a 5k or 10k event. I thought it was awesome. Even though I didn't run, I was given some food...any other race I would have had to buy it. I did notice a few walkers strolling in at the end. The crew for these events work long hours to provide a place for runners and walker to test their metal, not for folks to stroll. Perhaps if a stroll is in your Sunday plans, coming out to volunteer and see the other side of the timing chip, and then going for your stroll would have been a more productive way to spend the morning...a win-win for everyone.

Wow!!! What a shame and a waste of money. I could forgive the course. Seriously, Dundas has so much more to offer than that boring course. The crap tee shirt. But the race director rambling on and on was just beyond terrible. Never again will I race this event. Save your money!!

I wonder if walkers were really welcome in this race. Myself and a friend signed up for 10K walk. I felt no provisions were in place for us. We were told to walk on the sidewalk had had to try and go through people walking and standing watching the race. I feel we were forgotten as they started to dismantle the finish line and my husband had to tell them there were still people on the course. The police were gone and there was no one on the course to direct us. When we got back to the park the water, bananas etc was all packed up and we were able to get a hamburger. I felt that even though the advertised for walkers they were not prepared for us nor did they care. I don't even know what me time was!

Really cannot agree with the first comment-there was good traffic control, and well marked, water was adequate-I've assisted in the past with organizing races&it's hard to be perfect in all areas .

I agree with the writers of previous years that this race isn't worth the time. I did the 10k and ended up coming up short because the course was unmarked and when I turned somewhere where I shouldn't have, no one corrected me. I noticed that they ran out of medals for the last few people and some kind more experienced runners gave their medals up for them. The food was not great and hard to find at the finish line. Luckily I was able to get a bottle of water. They didn't appear to be aware of the last people on the course and started to tear down before everyone came in, even though they claimed to welcome walkers. If I was the organizers I would look at improvements or forget about it.

Sad that this is a double loop course when there is so much more to be offered in Dundas. Shirts are made of chinese newspaper and apple cores...Tip for VRPRO get rid of the garbage shirts and take the $1 value off the registration or give it to charity.

Not a great race by any standards...terrible food and runners have been taken off course the past 2 years!!! same old VR PRO race...race director babbling all morning on the micraphone, ugly white shirts and parking hard to find due to the cactus festival being held this weekend.

I did this run years ago...it was cancelled for a bit due to construction but now it's back. Nothing really stood out on this, nice park, fair to medium services.....could be really hot too!
