I thought that overall it was a great event. Well organized, nice course and excellent volunteers! They were cheering us on the entire way. Good venue, entertainment, water stations and food at the end as well.

I really liked that the race was downtown but the organization seemed to be off. While I get that there are teams, there really should have been corrals, not just separate areas for walkers that were not even clearly marked. There were too many walkers and slow movers at the front of the line, and it was very hard to get past them without pushing through them. This was even more difficult because of the very narrow running area.

The race could have been a lot more fun, and the pre-party was no party. Next year, can you please have some good music like there is at other races?

Such a huge event on a thursday night ! Great vibes, happyness , in spite of bad weather (RAINY & WINDY)
Important investment from organizator and volunteer, congrats to them !
Buffet was so good !! but I'm still wondering where was cheese (relative with Rat...!!)

I've run the race a couple years now. It is well organized. My only suggestion for improvement would be using some type of corral system. Two lanes of Bay Street is not wide enough to accommodate 1200 people. Walkers were directed to start from the rear of the mass of people, but still, among the runners it was tight quarters from Adelaide up to Bloor before it started to space out. Great cause, and lots of spirit.

Alright I am biased - I work for Scotiabank. The United Way 5km Rat Race is always a well organized event. Yes I agree there should be more space in the finish line chute but Adelaide St. West is a narrow street so we just cope with it. Oliver & Bonacini did serve great food after the race. Omega Alpha did give generous samples of their heatlh supplements.

I just dd this run with our company, I have only done a few runs so new to this, It seems like a great idea and shutting down the core around all the suits is unique! BUT I think with all this corporate sponsorship a few things could be better, like get rid of the garbage trucks in front of the food area, and the finish line chute is way too compact (I remember my other run having way more room after the finish). Good to support a worthy cause so I would consider this again.

Cool race and great to run through the downtown streets of Toronto. Had expected a bit more atmosphere but still a good cause to run for and hopefully they raised a lot of money for United Way.

I did this race, came 4th overall! It is one of the few downtown races left now, impossible to get a new permit under the Ford Fiefdom. Sounds like it used to be a real themed, fun run, everyone had to dress up and or run with a briefcase, if they bring that back count me in! Not a bad post run atmosphere, the heart of the financial district, decent food and drink, free beer would be easy to add here!
