Fabulous race! I did the 11.5 km distance and it was great fun. The trails of the Dundas Valley are beautiful. Excellent organization overall! There were enough water stations throughout and the post-race bananas and Cliff bars were great!
I will definitely do this race again next year. I'm also hoping that MEC Burlington will organize a 2nd trail run during the year!

Fun local race. There is a lot of hills, which makes it challenging. Will sign up again to beat my time.

This was my first race and such a great one! Dundas Valley Conservation area is beautiful and makes for a challenging run, so worth it! The atmosphere was warm and friendly and I felt so at home :) Thanks for a great race!

Great race, lots of fun and back to basics - what running should be about. Dundas Valley is beautiful and hilly - a good challenge.

Lots of fun and you simply can't beat the low price. The trail had some bottlenecks that had you waiting for the people in front of you to go through, but overall I appreciated that most of the trail was wide enough to pass.

OMG! The hills were nasty like Awc said with no PB for me! The race was so well organized as usual and a perfect day for the run! The scenery was spectacular. The location was a little out of the way but it was certainly worth the drive to Dundas :-). We will be running all 5 so we can't wait for the next ones!

Awesome race for the price. Still surprised that they can have such a well organized event for a fraction of the price of other running events. Maybe organizers should start taking some advice from MEC.

Unfortunately I sprained my ankle just before the halfway point of the 5km. Still finished the race! The medics were awesome! They wrapped it with ice and drove me to my car so I could get to my doctor for further treatment. Plan to do this again soon to 'redeem' myself. Great event - just some more washrooms would be appreciated.

This was a well organized race with friendly and enthusiastic announcers and organizers. A true hard trail race which is what I wanted. Suggest 2 port a potties to avoid long washroom line ups. Loved the healthy snack at end. A banana!

GREAT RACE!! The course was hilly and challenging which was good. This race had a brilliant vibe/energy and everyone had fun on the beautiful trails. I was very impressed with how well it was organized and over the moon happy with the cheap registration fee. I have done so many races that I don't need another tee or medal. I REALLY hope MEC Burlington and MEC Toronto offer more trail races. So nice to be off the road.

Fabulous first ever trail race for the MEC Burlington series set in the oh so beautiful and challenging Dundas Valley. Add in some good organizing, hip music and a race commentator who kept it fun and all in all a good morning. And for $15.
The only thing missing was coffee but Dundas and West Hamilton has enough good indie coffee shops to hit up on the way home.

The route for this race was both interesting and challenging. A lot of fun! The race volunteers and staff were informative, positive and energetic.
For the next race, please provide more washrooms.

LOVED this race! Beautiful trail and well organized. Nothing fancy, no t-shirts/medals or race bag full of random coupons I'll never use. It was all about the running which was great! I paid $15, ran the 12.5 route and could use my bib for a 10% discount at the MEC Burlington store if I wanted. I received a MEC reusable bag with a protein bar for after the race. Aid stations, banana's and met some great fellow runners. Perfect! I'll be back for more for sure! Thank you so much! =)

Well done Burlington MEC! Well organized, beautiful trails, relaxed, great community spirit and fun! Would love more trail runs in your series - but will be back for the road races for sure! Can't be the price too. Thanks for making a fun event accessible for so many.

Great job by MEC Burlington organizing this race. the MEC race series promises to be an excellent option for anyone who wants to run a marked, timed race without paying for all the extras. No t-shirts or medals, just running. Great option for achieving a new 5 or 10k PB without paying a small fortune. $15 is a great deal. The course had aid stations, bananas at the finish line, and some free samples that I will actually use (Clif Shots and Nuun). Very much enjoyed the race and will be back for at least one more in the series this year.
