the 3 miler was almost 150 meters too short, that's a minutes or more off runners times. I asks sportstats to talk to race director but they don't feel responsible even thou their times and paces are all wrong for runners on their web site. So wrong measurement for the 3 Miler and no age group medals for our efforts
I ran the Manotick 3 miler and was very disappointed. Tim Hortons sponsored the race and there was no hot coffee after the race even thou there was coffee for volunteers. No age group awards so a lot of the money did not go back to the athletes. I gave it one banana as there was many bananas left over
I ran the 10 miler and quite enjoyed the event. Race kit pick up was well organized and the kits were super fun with beer glasses and ear phones among other little goodies. It was pouring rain on race day, but the arena as the venue provided a dry, indoor area for families. Not going to lie, it was cold, wet and windy, but I throughly enjoyed my race and appreciated the volunteers. Could use some more clarity in the last 4km where the course winds through housing and veers onto paths (there was some confusion at the 1miler race turn point for those running the longer distances) but for the most part it was an excellent event and I would run it again (even in the rain, haha). Medal is nice quality and colourful, and sports stats chip timing in the bib is always appreciated. Early bird pricing is a really good value for this event considering the swag, medal, timing, and food after the race.
