Had a great time. I wish it started at 9:00am so it could be a little cooler to run but still had fun. See you next year
This was another great year for Lynne's Legacy Run, in fact it gets better every year! Not only is it an extremely well-done event it is supporting 2 very worthy causes. The atmosphere is fantastic with entire families participating together, a beautiful location at Churchill Park, and opportunities for people of all ages and fitness levels to join in. This has become an annual staple for my family! I highly recommend it!
This is a great run for a great cause. It's also challenging because it's a grass course. Those who train on pavement will have to work!
Great cause, great event. Kids enjoy the fun run as well :)
Such a fun event! As someone who has raced in bigger events, I really appreciated the community feel of Lynne's Legacy Run. Everyone received a t-shirt & a medal, from 5K runners and walkers to 1K kids run participants. The volunteers are well organized, helpful and friendly. Both the run and walk take place within the park, which gives participants and spectators the opportunity to watch the whole event and cheer each other on.
Bonus: free lunch! AND tons of free parking!
I highly recommend this race to everyone! Regardless of your fitness level, this is the perfect event for you!
This is my 3rd year attending this 5k race and I have enjoyed it every time. It is very well organized and celebrates the life of a wonderful person, Lynne McTaggart. The event is also family friendly as it includes a fun run for the kids. It is a great race for experienced as well as brand new runners - something for everyone!
Well organized, very friendly people, and a great cause.
Great event; well organized; convenient location.
I really liked the race for ages 12 years old and under. My son is three and it was his first race. We had a great time! The volunteers were amazing and it is for a great cause. Loved it - thank you.
Represented Cookhouse Bistro.
The race was a lot of fun and well-organized. Happy to run for a good cause.
A fun, family oriented race in a beautiful location for a great cause.
Really great family day. My 5yr old and 3yr old loved it. Well organized and lots of fun.
A.M. (age 9)
This is a great race for kids. We got medals and Bruiser and Stripes came.
This was my first year at the race and I quite enjoyed it. I walked with a friend who asked me to come. It was well organized and everyone was friendly. Also was a great space to do the run/walk. I liked that we all got t-shirts and put a number on them and at the end we all got a medal. The lunch was great too. The speeches at the end were also very touching. It was a great way to end a beautiful long weekend!
This year it was easily twice the size of last year's race. It is very well organized - I'm the guy who times it and organization is very important to me - and a lot of fun. Churchill Park is an excellent location.
What a great run for a great cause, organized and different from many other runs I have attended. I will bring some friends next year.
This was my first 5km race and it was a great event. It was well organized and a very friendly competition. I also enjoyed the extra challenge of running on the grass (I trained mostly on the treadmill and then outdoors on sidewalk/road). I am definitely looking forward to the event this year and beating my time from last year!
As a complete and total non-athlete, it was wonderful to have an event I could participate in; I did the 5 km walk. I work out at a gym (trying to get healthy, here) and in the months leading up to the event, knowing that I’d committed to it helped me to stay on that treadmill just a bit longer. This event was well-organized and allows people of all ability levels to join in. Fabulous!
It was an amazing race for a truly worthy cause! Such an inspirational woman behind it all! It is a great day for the entire family. My whole family (all 7 of us) are participating this year! Training has begun, slowly but surely!
Great event, great location, and definitely a great cause. If you're looking for a 5K this year this is a great one to go to! Highly recommend!
Excellent event. Great location, friendly people and a worthy cause
This was my first time running in a 5K race and it was a great experience! The whole event was extremely well-organized, volunteers were helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere at the park was exciting! The event is great for families, experienced runners to get another run in, and inexperienced runners to participate! The purpose behind it is also great, definitely a win-win. I highly recommend this event and I am already looking forward to this year.
As someone who is not a big runner, this was an excellent first, 5K race. The competitors were friendly and the environment was fun. Lynne's story is so inspiring and I look forward to participating this year to support two amazing causes.
Last year's event was amazing. It was cool to participate in a 5K that was run on grass and to participate in such a local, community and family-oriented event. I will definitely be going again this year!
