I ran the 10K for the first time this year. It was a great race and seemed well organized. There was a school that had ample free parking or street parking. The course is scenic although you finish by running up a big hill. Lots of volunteers and water along the course. Great cheering squad at the end (volunteers). Nice spinning medal and kosher hot dogs at the end of the race.

My 3rd time running this race and it always delivers. Much of what I said in last year's reviews stands.
Less people taking part this year for whatever reason, which is a shame because it is a great race. We come from Toronto every year for this one & will continue.
Comments:
1. Great course if you don't mind the hill up to the finish.
2. Lots of water and volunteers on sight.
3. Great small town atmosphere.
4. Kosher dogs & Latkes after make for a surprisingly satisfying post race meal.
5. Age Group medals were different this year, and quite fun.
6. Excellent Massage Room staffed by lots of Massage Therapy Students. Got a GREAT free massage.
Ill definitely be back for Year 4.

Have run this fun race twice and have not been disappointed!
Location is excellent. Lots of parking, washrooms, a place to go inside and warm up in case its a little chilly and a fairly closed course. The route is surprisingly beautiful (sorry Hamiltonions)down a hill right at the start, down along the water under a neat train bridge out and back. Of course going down a nice hill at the start means going up a terrible one just before the end, but its not that bad.
Food is awesome. Kosher Hotdogs & Latkes served up at the end, plenty of water and coffee inside as well.
Very neat to be at the place where the money from the race actually goes, seeing the little old lady fundraisers and their family running the 1k is a treat.
People watching is also pretty fun at this one. They get a fair about of non-runners in to support the cause. I ran behind a lady for a bit at the start last year who was wearing Air Jordan High Tops and black pantyhose, not tights, pantyhose. I don't judge.
Have done a few VRPro races and they all seem well organized. Will definitely attend again.
Pros
Location, facilities & scenary are great
Good food
Well organized
Cons
Race Shirts tend to fit pretty small. (Im usually XL and the XXL fit me like a M), but kids use it to paint with.

Ran this race for the first time this year. Its a nice small local race and the course is a pathed out and back with nice scenery. There is a bit of an uphill towards the finish but knowing you are almost there helps. Disappointed there are no medals, only for the winners and category top 3. Luckily I did come in 1st in my category so I did receive a medal but if I hadn't I would have been really annoyed. I think every race needs a finishers medal.

Always a fast field of runners that push you to your limits. Out and back course on bike paths. Tough 700m of uphill to finish line. The medals were very unique this year, they were miniaturized menorahs that stood on their own.
