Tight Laces

This was one of the worst organized runs that I have been too. From only having a packet pick up from 11-4 the day before making it next to impossible for anyone that had to work June 30th to pick up their kit.

This made the line ups on race day very long. I found out also that since the chips weren't on the bibs you had to get a timing chip, which could only be picked up race day also. Which made another long line.

Both of the tables for both lines were 90 degrees from each other and with no markings indicating which line you were in. With the lines running into the start corral.

The event site itself was also very crammed together. With the only "booth" at the site that was spaced away from another booth was the massage tables.

If you did not know that there was an event You would think it was its own event going on.

The course itself was great and I always enjoy running along a waterfront. It was a quick out and back course and I was able to set a new PB for the run.

The one thing I was really impressed with was the fact that it is a public park that I did not have the issue of non-runners on the course getting in the way, at least for myself.

So my suggestion for the event organizers if they happen to be read this would be to spread out the event site so it won't feel as crowded

This is one of the best organized events I have ever been to. We got very lucky with the weather, was supposed to be thunderstorms, but they passed us by and we got a hot sunny day. Well decorated, and very beautiful route. Was a fantastic family event, my son loved the 1K kids race and then hopped in the running stroller to do the 5K with my wife and I. Couldn't start Canada Day any better, definitely recommend others to try it.

*Great Medal
*Beautiful Route
*Unbelievably generous prizes
*Very well organized
*Competitive field if you're looking to push yourself
*Friendly organizers/competitors if you just want a fun race
*Splash pad and park for kids after the race
*Reasonably Priced
*Lots of vendors due to Canada Day Celebration
*Free Pizza/Birthday Cake
*Free Parking

*The way packet pickup was setup in the restaurant was very cramped and a bit confusing
*Awards Ceremony seemed disorganized and took too long

As you can see great event and have to be really nit picking to find any negatives.

Great event along the waterfront. Didn't like the 1K on sand/gravel but the awesome medal made up for that!

Every VR Pro race I've done has had great organization, and this is no exception. Fun 5k along the Burlington waterfront. Nice and flat, although there is a bit of sand in the 3rd km - not too hard to avoid if you watch your footing, though.

Technical t-shirt for swag, and all in all a good race. I didn't realize the 5k wouldn't start until the 1k was finished, or I wouldn't have arrived so early at the start, but it was definitely cute watching the kids finish the 1k. Next year I'll bring my kids to run the 1k!

Great event on the Burlington Lakeshore - awesome venue for a 5K. Nice and flat course. Great prizes and delicious pizza and cake after the race.
