I took advantage of all the right or wrong turns. 8k for the price of 5k. Great trails. Very well organized. No fear of getting lost. Fitbit registered 50 floors

This is a down-to-earth fun event at a fantastic location. Although we miss Mudnewton ( https://youtu.be/XRAk3FmqCoA ), my whole family really enjoyed the Fork in the Road and would recommend it and do it again.

This is a great event for all levels! Walking through the wooded trails of Uxbridge on a nice day is pretty amazing on its own but running them up and down hills with people chasing you is an exhilarating experience!
Although a very frustrating race for the directionally challenged such as myself, I still really enjoy the experience of coming to one of the forks and having to make that decision that may or may not cost me a top finish in this race! The race course is very well marked and the race itself is very well organized. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a challenge at all levels.....

One of the first opportunities in South Ontario to get outside and enjoy some beautiful trails! Hoping to be back in 2016.

Fork in the Road was the first organized 5K run that I had the pleasure of participating. I have since participated in other fun runs so I am able to compare. Fork in the Road is unique because it is a trail run as opposed to running on paved roads. The scenery is beautiful running through the forest. The trails are clearly marked so you'd have to be trying really hard if you were to get lost. Notwithstanding, there were trained staff on mountain bikes who circled the course quite regularly. The other runners were really nice. There was a mix of beginner, intermediate and seasoned runners.
Negatives:
You are running in the forest and there are some narrow paths, sticks, and rocks that you could potentially trip over so you have to be careful. There is a water station at the half way mark but I found I got thirsty well before then - rooky mistake. I would recommend running with a bottle of water so you can drink at your leisure.
I think that this is a great race for someone who is just starting out. I would recommend it to others; in fact, I have. My friends and I will be travelling from out of province to be there for this year's race. Also, I was told the trails are different every year so it won't be the exact same as the year before which is a nice surprise.

I liked this race, it was challenging and different. I'm coming back this year & have got 6 more people to register with me. Only other thing I would suggest is to have some form of food for the participants at the finish to replenish with, bars or fresh fruit would be great.

This was a nice race, I would have recommended a shorter course and more obstacles. Everyone was nice, and the atmosphere was fun.
