A little cooler than most years but still an excellent turnout for this excellent family event. Face painting, dancers, snacks, lots to keep the kids entertained. 5K and 10K option on a giant loop through Kingston. The Queen's ARC is a great location with lots of indoor facilities to keep warm. Plenty of volunteers along the route to keep racers on the right route. Children's race started at 0930hrs and adults at 1000. Finishers medals for all the kids. 20th annual event cake for everyone to enjoy along with fresh fruit and granola bars. Ample parking nearby. No bag check required. Quick race kit pick-up and nice tech tee for all registered racers. Donations go directly to the centre. Excellent MC from a local radio station to keep racers motivated and engaged. Water station at 1/2 way point. Small swag bag with flyers, pens and coupons. Great turnout at this year's event.
This was my second year attending this event and the weather was very cooperative. Sunny and 8 degrees. Great location. Volunteers along the route were very friendly and the route was clearly marked. Nice flat course. Family friendly event. Detailed review online.
Beautiful sunny day! Good location with ample indoor space, washrooms and facilities. Free parking nearby. Nice route that circles the Queen's University Campus and music at the start/finish line. Registration was easy online, reasonably priced with tech shirt included in 28.00. Some door prizes for participants. Great volunteers along the route and well-marked. Overall a pleasant course good for walkers and runners. Some icy patches due to recent storm. One water station along the route.
