Beaches Spring Sprint

I love this race. The volunteers work so hard to make this a fabulous race and event. Very well organized. A real neighbourhood fun morning and what better place than to hold the barbecue and award ceremony than the Balmy Beach Canoe Club.

I've participated in this event annually since I was 12 years old. Its a well-organized event. There are participants of all ages and a wide range of ability, and somehow the events coordinators make it all work splendidly. It's a great community event!

We bring a group every year for maybe 10 years or so now. It is a wonderfully run volunteer event where everyone is made to feel like part of the community. Chip timing means fast results and every time I see the full field in the kid's run I am in awe.
