Decent race, great atmosphere. Good course.
Only drawback was the kit pickup the day of the race.
Whomever the idiot was that decided to only have a couple people giving out the race kits, should give their head a shake. Ridiculous.
Without that stupidness, I would have given this race 5 bananas. But to have that giant lineup barely moving with less than 20-30 minutes from the race start...wow. You would have thought organizers would have realized how many people would be arriving that morning to pick up their kits.

Wow, what a cold blustery day but it helpd off for the race - yay! Race day registration and pickup and bag check were slow. Not enough volunteers? The course was great though, nice to run through downtown and the course was very well marked with loads of pilons keeping us on track. So the fact there weren't a lot of Marshals was not an issue. Emcee was fun and the start finish area was wll laid out and would have been awesome spot for race if not so cold, but only nature is to blame fore that lol

First time doing this race. Quite a small race, but pretty well organized. Pick up at LuluLemon a little slow (inexperience people running things). Fast course. Mix of speedy runners and fun runners/walkers.
Anyway. . .how many runs allow you to walk through a large inflated colon at the finish line?

Awesome race! Race kit had boxers, KT tape, nutrition bar, water bottle, probiotics and sunglasses. KM markers were bang-on and food was great. Photo booth at the end was fun. Draw prizes were amazing. For $40, you can't get better than this. And teh $ goes to Colon Cancer.
A definite must.

I was pleasantly surprised by this race. The race kit was awesome! What race gives out boxers, sunglasses, water bottle, nutrition bar and KT tape in their race kits? plus a cute tee. The race was professionally organized, the KM markers were bang-on and the prizes at the end were amazing. There was a cool photo booth at the end and lots of food. For $40, you can't get much better than this. And the money goes to colon cancer. A definite must.

For the inaugural race for this event, I thought it was fairly well done. I found the route to be interesting throughout and the post race awards ceremony, picture taking and prize giveaway were great. I was especially impressed with the volunteers...events like this can't happen without them. This event will become a part of my annual running schedule. Areas requiring improvement include having enough medals for all participants and the start shute was very narrow causing a slow start (wider would have been better). Overall I was happy to have been a part of the 1st ever event and I hope it continues every year.

It was just average. Granted, this was the first ever event. Throughout the whole 5k there was only one water station at the 2k mark, and not enough medals for the number of finishers. That being said, the course was nice and flat and the race kits were spectacular. The yoga afterwards was nice as well. A good, standard race.
