The Bad: No medal (only to top finishers), no T-shirt (great way to promote your product by the way). We were asked to drop our bib number tag in a box for raffle, however prizes were given away so randomly is was ridiculous. The top prize was given to people who had a hat to throw into a bin. I finished my race at 10:45 and by 1pm only a few prizes were handed out.

I have paid less for obstacle races and unlike those, you can run this course any day of the week for a $6.75 admission to Rattlesnake Point.
The Good: The sign up process was easy, and registration the morning of the race went quick. The pre race grab was nice (Silipint cup, bag of coffee, magazine and some mini cliff bars). After race food was a nice touch, bagels, cookies and more mini cliff bars.
I have no idea what it costs to run an event like this, but I didn't see the value.
Participate in all of the 5 peak races within southern Ontario, no other race offers the family feel you get here. Always a friendly face with words of encouragement. Age groups are broken down very well ensuring everyone feels like a winner. If you show up you will make new friends and have a great time.
Another awesome 5 Peaks at Rattlesnake! I loved the route change for the sport course this year, although my quads might not agree. My favourite course of the series!
I love this race especially because of the venue. It is a challenging course with lots of technical sections. Also lots of fast people seem to show up to this race. I found the course marked well but because of all the uneven ground and jagged rocks it is easy to get caught with your eyes down at your feet instead of looking down the trail. Fun race, friendly participants.
I did this race 5-6 years ago, overall I would say amazing event BUT it seems like a common, recurring theme that runners go off-course, get lost, etc. Not surprising since it can be tricky to mark these courses without leaving much of an imprint/impact on the environment, so accept this as "par for the course" if you attend!
Awesome race, well organized, great schwag!
