Ran this race in 2013.....very exciting...great scenic course.....but this is a very very very crowded race.....difficult to maintain pace while always having to dodge people. In addition the foot timer didn't register my start......so I never go an accurate time.....I never did get an explanation from them on that...potentially because of so many people in the race. I wouldn't do it again. This year, I went to a less crowded location in Flortida.

2014 was an exceptionally warm and humid race. However once again the event went off without any noticeable problems. This is truly a world class event put on by world class people. I'm a repeat participant and look forward to next years event.

The Miami ING 1/2 marathon is a world class event. From the expo to the finish line it's a first rate event. This was my second running and I look forward to next year. If it continues to offer this wonderful experience I will return every year. I highly recommend this to everyone.

This was my second year running the Half Marathon in Miami. I would highly recommend this as a destination race for anyone trying to escape the cold. The expo has a lot to offer, a great course, and good organization. My only issue with this race is that there is no control over the corrals. With 25000 this can be an issue. People who started in the first corral were walking in the first kilometer.

I was thrilled to be able to run the Miami 1/2. Just back from AFG. and looking forward to a running holiday, I chose Miami. From the well stocked and produced Expo to the offers available to runners in the city, this was a first rate event. The run was awesome and the support from the people in Miami is everywhere. I am not famous but, I will be back for 2013.

I have run the Marathon for the last 4 years . It's a great race that is very well organized.
The course is nice and flat and the aid stations stocked up well.
The only issue is starting with all the half marathoners , which I find overwhelming and also finishing with a sea of half marathoners as it was way to conjested in the finishers corrals
that said . It really is a great and fun race !!
I am looking forward to running again this year !!

its a great destination marathon in the middle of the winter.

I ran the Miami half marathon last year. This was my first time at this event, and really my first running race. I have participated in local bike races for years and was amazed to see how taken care of runners are. There was great race support and the event was well organized. I look forward to running it again this year.

Very well organized race. Expo was quite large and was very efficient for packet pickup. Best to go to the expo earlier on the Saturday or on Friday if you're into shopping for gear as many things were picked through by Saturday afternoon. On race morning, it was no problem getting into the race corrals, but they did not seem very strictly managed - so if you want to run faster, make sure you get to the front of your corral. The course itself is quite beautiful - stunning views of the water and cruise ships as you cross over the causeways (bridges). Crowd support was great throughout with the exception of the causeways. Post-race was the usual fare of bananas and drinks. Overall, a very well organized race. The only factor to consider for Canadian runners is to be mindful of the temperature adjustment to run this rate, but otherwise it's a real fun event!

My first half-marathon. Loved it! Unfortunately the corrals have to use honor system. Proof of time would not help people like me who can only provide 5K & 10K info, as I am running my first half-marathon. (btwi was 5 minutes faster than my registration time). Walkers should have a corral at the end, or at least have the courtesy of not walking 4 - 5 abreast and chatting. No way the organization can predict or prevent all that. Good job and see you next year.

This is my 10th year running Miami.... And I have to say that the organization gets better every year. I especially liked the detour of the walkway after the finish line that prevented back-ups as in previous years. My only real complaint is the starting corrals-- first, there should be proof of time in order to be assigned a corral... Second, they should be policed more strictly. We couldn't even enter Corral F because it was so full.... these weren't deal-breakers by any means... We will definitely be back for #11 next year, God willing!!

Great race, this was my sixth year running the Miami Half. I was impressed by the organization, water stations & first aid stations; being there was 25,000 people running, it was a smooth sailing event!!!!

This was my 4th ING 1/2 marathon. This time around I PR'd! Holla! ING puts on a great race - good support, water stations manned, good cheers from fans. The South Beach part is my favorite - I also love running over the MacArthur just before dawn and seeing all the cruise ships. The humidity was bad this morning, but I did great nonetheless. The medals are always GORGEOUS! I am always pleased with the ING event. I will run it again next year.

I've run the Miami Marathon once and Half Marathon 3 times. Sunday will be my 4th. Great course, very flat apart from a few bridges but still quite humid despite the 6:15am start. This is one of my favourite races - great weather and time of year to come down and do it.

This was my first half marathon, and a great experience. The course is really nice, going through some amazing neighborhoods. The pre-race expo was packed with good stuff, and the event was generally well organized. Best part for me was the medal at the end, a really nice souvenir that they clearly shelled out for... it's hanging on my bulletin board as a memento. A great destination race.
