Vancouver "The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime."
-Babe Ruth

So we were just coming up to the 20 hr. mark in the Raid-The-North race in Kamloops this summer.... The sun was setting as we rapelled down a 120 ft. cliff to the lake below, changed gear and hopped into the canoes for a 40 km paddle.

Vancouver The fall marathon is a competitive business as marathons across North America and around the world try to attract runners. Some will advertise their flat and fast course which appeals to first time marathoners as well as those trying to set personal best. The Royal Victoria Marathon in Victoria, British Columbia is held each year on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. For those runners looking for a beautfiul course in a beautiful city I highly recommned putting the Royal Victoria Marathon weekend on your must do marathons.
Note: Submitted by David Jackson. David recently moved from St. Catherines, Ontario to Vancouver Island to run more and improve his performances - you may recognize his name from many races here in Ontario, including a stellar 2:28 at the 2003 Scotia Bank Waterfront Marathon. David had some injuries flare up at the 2004 Victoria Marathon and ended up dropping out at 30km.

Vancouver In the future we will be adding news items of interest to Vancouver and the GVA in this section.

We need your help!

MyNextRace.com is a community driven Web site. We welcome your submissions for content. If you have an account, you can write a News story! When it is approved, it will appear here for all to read.

Please note that "News" can mean a number of things: announcements, rumours, press releases, upcoming event announcements, etc.

Note: news items are not automatically added to the calendar, so If your news submission is regarding an upcoming event, be sure to go to the Calendar section and submit the event there too.

And don't forget about the other areas where we need your creative help:

  • Events Calendar: If you know of an upcoming race, event, etc., then go to the calendar and let us know

  • Reviews: let the world know how you feel about a product or service

  • Web Links: are we missing a useful link? Let us know!
