Dave Kuehls was a research assistant for "The Perfect Mile." True fact: he once reviewed movies for a small-town newspaper. Ed. Note - this movie was filmed in Toronto, using the Birchmount Stadium track (Scarborough - Birchmount and Danforth Road) as the re-furbished stadium and surface to recreate the era. Yours truly and many other local runners were hired as extra's for the filming of the 6-million dollar budget film. The hearts and minds of North America these past few weeks have been focused upon Louisiana, Mississippi, and the victims of Hurricane Katrina, which ravaged the two states. Running and races have always been sources of generous donations. Surely there is a road race or walk in your area that can benefit victims in this disaster.Note: http://www.mardigrasmarathon.com/

Note: Denis Sacks is the Vice President (Devlopment) of Pepsi Canada, an accomplished runner with a recent 2:58 marathon performance, 1st place at the Scotia Waterfront Marathon 50+ age category.
