International There's this sport called the triathlon. There's this event called the Ironman.

Contrary to popular belief, they are not synonymous. "Many people who are not triathletes think that Ironman is triathlon," says Dr. Steven Jonas, a Stony Brook University professor and author of "Triathloning for Ordinary Mortals" (Norton, 2006). "But triathlons come in a wide variety of lengths, from real short to real long."
