International 26-mile races have become social events for casual runners
By Julie Deardorff
Chicago Tribune

CHICAGO — Marathons have come a long way from the 1960s, when they were so elitist that women - who couldn't physically run 26.2 miles anyway, it was thought - were barred from competition. International Ahhh....guess who is considered the fastest distance runner of all-time, and guess who is the fastest My Next Race.com ambassador?

Note: Mario Iozzo is a former distance running star out of St. Mike's College (Toronto) and ex-distance coach at York University. He has been a regular contributor and supporter of My Next Race.com and now seems to be hanging with the best.

Good Karma Mario!
