TorontoMississauga Marathon - This Race ROCKS!

Some say the course is fast - it IS! Starts high, goes down to the lake.
Some say the course is beautiful - it IS! Lots of big shade trees, quiet
residential sections and in the final 8k, great waterfront views.

What's improved for 2005?
- Marathon & Half courses
o No more loop around Square One
o New section through forested Erindale Campus
o Fewer turns in the area near Truscott & Southdown
o Removal of the peninsula loop near the finish - the last few kilometers go
straight along the Waterfront Trail to the finish
o Double the number of shuttle buses from the finish to Square One
o Marathon course is open for 7-1/2 hours, making it runner AND walker friendly

- 10k course
o Same great, flat & fast course but now at 6 pm, Saturday night, just before the pasta dinner - go on, RUN for your dinner...
- Race fees all reduced substantially if you register by Dec. 31/04
- Runners' Expo will be bigger to offer more stuff, more convenience

NOTE: This race starts at Mississauga's City Hall and finishes at Lakefront
Promenade Park on Mississauga's scenic Waterfront Trail. Although the course
has changed slightly, it will continue to showcase the beautiful residential
streets of the Lorne Park and Port Credit areas. The course is also
certified as a Boston Marathon qualifier, and the Ontario Roadrunners
Association has sanctioned the event.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the Credit Valley Hospital
Foundation and Trillium Health Centre. Over $30,000 was raised for Credit
Valley in 2004. www.mississaugamarathon.com
