TorontoHi MDRC members - Greetings from Germany. Well, the World Dragon Boat Championships, held in Grunau (site of the 1936 Olympics), are over and I am enjoying a much needed period of relaxation and drinking German beer!

My Canadian Senior Women's Dragon Boat Team paddled hard for a bronze medal in each of the 1000m, 500m & 200m events. The Chinese team once again dominated the field, while the crew from False Creek, Vancouver edged us out for silver medals. It was very moving to be on the podium time and again with two Canadian flags flying. I'm looking forward to a run with MDRC very soon. Hope everyone is having a great summer.
